New Monetization Policy by Youtube for Channels

Today 17th Jan 2018, Youtube.com are announcing changes to the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). While our goal remains to keep the YPP open to as many channels as possible, we recognize we need more safeguards in place to protect creator revenue across the YouTube ecosystem.

Now to start youtube channel will be quite difficult, their new policy says the eligible for monetization should meet the new threshold of 4,000 hours of watchtime within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers.

There was a great hype in Pakistan and other countries that youtube channel has been a great source of income and its easy to build and attract people for subscription. 4000 hours watch time a great deal of effort required and more over 1000 subscriber. it will be hard for new comers. this new policy can help freelancer who provide subscribers and views and now they start charging high for their services on feelancer websites.

their old policy was just to have 10000 views in total to get monetization tools access. secondly youtube is encouraging to have 100% real content and also developing and creating new copyrights laws for future uploads.

Dear Youtube.com channel beginners this will be a new challenge for you in 2018 to meet and maintain this new policy.

Good Luck
