Our story
Old curiosity.
A fresh chapter.
I’m Pakistani is a journal about the people, places and everyday culture of Pakistan.
A familiar name, a new edition
The earlier impakistani.net covered a broad mix of news, arts, travel, food, sport and technology. This edition takes inspiration from those subjects and gives selected stories a considered new home at their historical addresses.
How we approach the archive
These are newly written editorial adaptations, not verbatim copies or claims of continuity with the original contributors. Each adapted article links to an archived edition. Original bylines are not attached to new writing. Old news is treated as historical context, and old prices or rankings are not presented as current facts. The first restored collection contains 20 articles; it is not the complete historical archive.
A journal made for reading
We favor useful explanations, thoughtful introductions and the details that make a place interesting. Some pages are short doorways into a larger subject. For changing travel requirements, product terms or official records, follow current information from the responsible institution.
About the illustrations
The mountain, truck-art and tea images are AI-generated editorial illustrations. They evoke the subjects of the journal and are not documentary photographs of a particular event or person. They are labeled on article pages and in the main feature.
